In memoriam... Tucker

I have finally come up with a layout that showcases my faithful friend to whom we had to say goodbye about four months ago. From his early days when he would chew up couch cushions to the day he started gasping for breath, every day we loved him more. "You're lucky you're cute!" we would often say.  These are my favorite pictures. This house just isn't the same without him.

Materials: paper by Reminisce (good dog), Imaginisce (tan paw print), Echo Park Paper Co. (striped, dog print border, "good dog" sticker), AdornIt (red bones) and my stash (plain brown cardstock). CTMH supplies: cashmere and champagne cardstock, cocoa ink, black pigment pens (retired), Tiny Typewriter stamp set (retired).

The Tooth Fairy's Been Busy!

I just love this shot of Aaron with his missing teeth! He lost the first one at Grandpa's house eating watermelon; the second one he pulled out a few weeks later. He's got a loose one on the bottom right (his perspective) that's more than ready to come out, but he doesn't like to wiggle it right now.

Anyway, I was pulling pics off the SD card and found this one, so I thought I'd share.

First Day of School... 2010

Well, as you can tell it's been an entire year since I last posted a picture. My scrapbooks haven't been kept up much better. My Creative Memories consultant ran into some family trouble and hasn't been hosting events except for "World's Largest Crop" in April. I did manage to finish (except for some last-minute touches) my 2008 book during that time (it's an all-day crop, 9am-8pm).

Remembering the last post, and seeing as how we had time to spare this morning (don't be jealous!) I sat the kids down in the same spot and took some pictures. These are the ones that didn't need some editing (Aaron's singletons were overexposed a bit, which I can clean up electronically). I've got a second grader and a Kindergartner! Both walked into school with ease, never casting a glance back at Mom, not a blink when I said goodbye. I think it helps that the school holds an Open House a couple days before the first day so that both students and parents know where the classrooms are and who the teachers are. Plus, Julia has Aaron's Kindergarten teacher, so she knows her already.

Here's a happy first day to you wherever you are, and may you not have to wait another year for me to post anything!
